On the 30th of November 2023, CereProc Ltd, Bangor University and the Electronic Assistive Technology Service for NHS Wales were pleased to release 16 synthetic speech voices for the young people of Wales, in both Welsh and Welsh accented English.

Founded in 1932, LEGO has been making children’s toys for almost a hundred years, introducing the first plastic LEGO brick in 1947. Since then, it has become the world’s largest toy company with revenues exceeding £3bn in recent years. However, until recently, it was hard for those who are partially sighted to enjoy LEGO, with many instruction booklets featuring intricate instructions, often in diagrams without accompanying words.

CereProc Ltd, collaborating with Accenture Labs has created the world’s first non-binary synthetic voice that combined male and female data from transgender and non-binary individuals for the global digital assistant market. The companies have released all materials to generate the voice to the Open Source community.

CereProc is honoured to announce a collaboration between the CereProc team and comedian Lee Ridley (aka Lost Voice Guy). CereProc has been able to create a voice for Lee through CereWave Me, a voice cloning process, which was able to synthesise a Geordie accent for Lee using a voice donor.

JFK’s words in July 1963 negotiated the resolution to end the Cold War. His words provided federal support for the growing civil rights movement. The course of history was changed forever on November 22, 1963, as JFK made his fateful trip through downtown Dallas to deliver his speech at the Dallas Trade Mart and was shot dead. The assassination sent shock waves throughout the world and his speech was never to be heard, until now!
